Dale Peterson
Dale is originally from Leadore, Idaho. After getting a degree from Eastern Idaho Industrial Technical College, Dale worked at the Idaho National Laboratory. In 1984 Dale founded his flagship business in Leadore called Peterson Metal Products. Dale has operated multiple businesses in Leadore for nearly 40 years. In his spare time Dale enjoys spending time in his ATV exploring the many wonderful trails that surround our beautiful community..

Lujean MorellI - council President
Lujean was born in San Antonio, Texas. Her father served 26 years in the Air Force Security Police. She has traveled all over the world. Lujean came to Leadore in 2008 from Post Falls, Idaho. In her spare time she runs the Leadore City Food Bank and attends and takes care of St Joseph’s Catholic Church. Lujean owns and operates the Stagestop Junction Store. Lujean has one daughter, Rebecca, who works and manages the store with her. When not busy with the store and volunteering, Lujean loves visiting Las Vegas, growing trees and flowers and spending time with her dog Matilda.

Mark ulsh - council member
Mark is originally from Mount Union, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he embarked on a successful 23 year military career as a U.S. Marine and an Army Aviator. After retiring from the military, Mark and his family moved to Leadore in pursuit of fresh dreams. Mark and his wife Jennifer are currently the owners/operators of the Mustang Inn located in Leadore. In his spare time Mark enjoys many hobbies, outdoor activities, visiting national parks with his children and he has a passion for archery hunting elk.
margaret gallup - council member
Margaret originally moved to Leadore when she was in the 7th grade, and happily returned in 2023 with her husband Paul after a season in Idaho Falls. She received her certification as a CNA from Eastern Idaho Technical College, which facilitated her passion for home health and serving people with disabilities. Another certification from the American Board of Opticians furthered her 23-year career as an Optician. Together, Margaret and Paul have 6 children and 10 grand-children. When not caring for friends and family, Margaret loves to paint, sew, enjoy side-by-side ATV rides, and is an avid quilter (having made 75 quilts in 8 years!)
City Clerk
Jack Peterson
Jack, when not involved with City work, consults with acute and clinic networks in establishing and re-engineering quality, patient safety, leadership, governance, and human resources processes and systems. He served in senior leadership positions in Texas hospitals over the past 39 years. Jack became a Nationally Registered EMT in 2020, and is an Eagle Scout. He served 27 years as a U.S. Navy Commander (Medical Service Corps), and earned BS and MS degrees from The George Washington University and the University of Southern California, respectively. Jack became a full-time resident of Leadore in 2018, following in the footsteps of his grandfather who owned and lived at a nearby ranch. His sister, Jeanette, lives here as well. He has two children: Ellen Elizabeth (plus 4 grandsons) and John Lawrence. His hobbies are reading and model trains.

2023 accomplishments for Leadore
Development and implementation of city website.
Grant acquired and used for city park upgrades.
Successful 4th of July celebration with added activities and record turnout.
Hosted US Forest Service Personel during the Hayden Fire.
Developement plan & Initiatives
An advertising initiative will draw necessary attention to services and events that the City of Leadore already offers or plans to offer in the future.
The restoration initiative will highlight achievable cleanup and revitalization projects that can be completed with the partnership of local citizens and businesses.
The comprehensive plan and cooperative growth initiative for Leadore is an ongoing effort to update previously designated plans on file with Lemhi County and re-imagine a future in keeping with our identity as a small western town.
Annexation is an ongoing effort with the goal of relaxing the tax burden in the city and promoting healthy growth.
