The City of Leadore hosts an amazing day that is full of events and activity. Our renowned celebration honors our nation’s independence in many meaningful ways.

pancake Breakfast

The Independence Day celebration kicks off at 7:00 am with an amazing pancake breakfast hosted by the Leadore EMTs. The breakfast serves as a major fundraiser for the EMT operating budget, providing a vital resource to our community. During the breakfast you can take a walk through the silent auction where there are always unique items for bidding. Local vendors will also be offering custom crafts and creations for sale.

car show

Bring your sweet classic ride to town or enter that ole rat rod with rust patina. There is room for your unique entry at our 4th of July car show. In Leadore we let the kids vote on what they like too so try to show off those wheels in a fun way. There will be prizes for entry winners and then a chance to drive your rig down Railroad Street in our parade where they will announce the winners. Come watch our legendary parade or even join the action! The show begins at 12:00 sharp. Did you know that you can enter the parade for free? Join in the fun and drive down Railroad Street with your float to advertise your business or your Independence Day spirit. Come show off that classic car or just take your minivan for a stroll. junior rodeo

Come watch Leadore’s annual Junior Rodeo. This event kicks off at 2:00 pm and usually runs late into the afternoon. Our rodeo arena has spacious stands to enjoy the show. There are also food vendors on site all afternoon. Events include: Mutton Busting, Boot Scramble, Barrels, Goat Pull, Flag Race, Cash Cow, Steer Riding, Calf Riding, Dummy Roping, Ribbon Roping, Breakaway, Goat Tying and Team Roping.

Fly-in

Are you an airplane owner looking for a unique location and holiday event to enjoy? The fly-in at Leadore is a recently added part of the July 4th celebration. Thanks in large part to volunteer efforts to revitalize and enhance our airfield here at Leadore, the fly-in has been growing in popularity. Get here in the morning and leave at your convenience. There will be shuttle service from the parking ramp to the other events in town.

fireworks show

The fireworks show wraps up the day in exciting fashion. Orchestrated from the safe confines of the rodeo arena, the show is typically a 45 minute event that can be viewed very well from the parking areas at the Leadore City Park and Rodeo Arena, the parking lot at the LDS Church or really anywhere in town.
